Spotting Etiquette
Guide with tips and tricks to spot train professionally without disturbing member of public or staff.
At the Station:
1. Notify any station staff before and after the spotting activity if you intend to stay for a period of time.
2.Certain station may require a written permission from the train operator for the spotting activity.
3.You may be charged for a minimum fare to access the platform if you are not making a train journey.
4.Comply with station staff if they requests for additional information regarding the spotting activity.
On the Platform :

| Pay attention to announcements and beware of surroundings. | Use tripod, selfie stick or flash photography. |
| Adhere to instructions given by station staff. | Interfere with train operations by requesting staff to perform certain actions. |
| Be considerate as there may be other passengers on the platform. | Climb on any structure, shout or run around on the platform. |
| Avoid taking photograph of film other passengers or staff. | Congregate at busy areas or block the flow of passengers. |
| Report any suspicious or unusual behaviour to station staff immediately. | Take photograph or film security related equipment such as CCTV cameras. |
| Take care of your personal belongings at all times. | Leave any personal belongings unattended. |
